AAKS bags are handmade by women in Ghana. AAKS was founded by Akosua Afriyie-Kumi, with the aim of introducing the world to her favourite Ghanian weaving techniques.
Fair Trade: These Ghanaian women are getting fair wages and work under good working conditions.
Good cause: AAKS invests in the future of local weaving techniques and the women who make these techniques.
Environmentally friendly: The bags are made from the natural material Raffia (from thin strips of leaves from the Raphia palm). The lining is made of linen and the handle of leather, so the bag is not vegan.
Together we can make a difference! Subscribe to the newsletter to stay up to date about fair and sustainable fashion. We plant a tree for every subscription! 🌳
