Het bovenwerk van de sneakers is gemaakt van echt duurzaam FSC-gecertificeerd hout, dat tot 90% van het oppervlak van de schoen bedekt, afhankelijk van elke stijl. Het hout is aangebracht op een biologisch katoen en vector gegraveerd op een manier dat het materiaal buigt en zacht en flexibel wordt als fijn nappaleer. Het gevoel is erg zacht en fijn, terwijl je het hout ruikt en de natuurlijke textuur van de boom ziet. Het hout dat wordt gebruikt om de stoffen te maken, is uitsluitend afkomstig uit ethisch beheerde bossen en met respect voor het hele ecosysteem. Het materiaal is gecertificeerd, wat de traceerbaarheid en herkomst van het hout garandeert. Het gepatenteerde materiaal en de uiteindelijke sneakers worden gemaakt in Italië en onder eerlijke omstandigheden geproduceerd in een nieuwe hightech-faciliteit die door een familie wordt beheerd. De gebruikte houtsoorten zijn berken-, essen-, beuken-, iepen- en tulpenhout. Alle schoenen zijn voorzien van een zacht onderlegde, antibacteriële binnenzool van echt kurk. De lijm is vrij van dierlijke ingrediënten en de zool is gemaakt van echt rubber. De bovenkant heeft reflecterende glazen details. Het materiaal dat eruitziet als suède of nappaleer is gemaakt van gerecyclede petflessen.

Fair trade: The shoes are produced fairly by a small producer in Italy and the wellies are produced in Italy or elsewhere in the EU, depending on where they have time. The shoes are produced under fair working conditions.
Environmentally friendly: nat-2 only uses sustainable materials. They use certified wood, stone, hay, natural rubber, vegetable-tanned leather, grass, recycled materials such as corn, coffee, milk, PET bottles, glass, wine corks, leather remnants, eco-cotton, pineapple, etc.
Locally produced: Production in the EU.
Vegan: nat-2 also has a vegan collection that is 100% vegan and the glue does not contain any animal products.
