The Harmony Headband comes in many different fabrics. The options include ten colors of four different types of fabric. The look of the headband varies depending on the fabric
Fairly made in the TAWAST studio in Finland by the hands of Milla Tawast
MATERIAL FOR COLORS "White", "Black", "Lunisolar Light", "Lunisolar Gray":
100% Organic Cotton, GOTS certified
The organic cotton is grown in Benin, Tanzania and India. The fabric is designed in Paris, France. Spinning, weaving, dyeing and washing of the fabric is done in La Loire, France. The fabric is GOTS certified, which means it includes strict environmental and social criteria for operations along the entire supply chain.
MATERIAL FOR COLORS "Light Sage", "Hazelnut", "Charcoal":
100% Organic Cotton
The fabric is handmade from GOTS certified yarn by an artisan family in Kerala, India. The yarns are dyed by hand and the weaving is done by hand on small powerlooms. The fabric is made in small batches so it is tricky to get the GOTS certification and it would require them working on a larger scale to get the end product GOTS certified.
As a handmade fabric there is special character to the fabric. The surface being lively and not always regular is a part of the look. Because the yarns are hand dyed the shade might vary a little from batch to batch.
MATERIAL FOR COLORS "Seashell", "Sand", "Jetstone":
100% Organic Linen, GOTS certified
The flax plant is grown in Normandy, France. The fabric is made in Germany; the linen is spun, knitted then dyed (except for the natural linen jersey "Sand" which is undyed) in the same factory. The fabric is GOTS certified, which means it includes strict environmental and social criteria for operations along the entire supply chain.
The color of the raw linen fiber will vary from season to another depending on the amount of sun, rain etc. when growing the crop. Due to these natural factors the shade might vary a little from batch to batch, especially with the raw undyed linen “Sand”.
CARE:
The item is machine washable. Wash on a gentle cycle in cool water. Hang to dry, do not tumble dry. Press on medium heat with steam to remove wrinkles.
Because this is a natural material, slight shrinkage will occur, which is taken into consideration when making the pattern and sizing.
CHARITY:
5% of each purchase goes to help animal sanctuaries.
We have personally visited these places and witnessed the amazing work they do to help animals in need.

Tawast is a brand by fashion designer Milla Tawast. The brand has its roots in Finland, and is now based in Copenhagen. The core value of the brand is that humans, animals, and the planet shouldn't be exploited for fashion.
Fair trade: The clothing from Tawast is all made by Mila herself in her own studio in Copenhagen. Everything is made to order, so there is no deadstock.
Environmentally friendly: The material is all 100% organic. Often it is GOTS certified, but sometimes, only the yarn is GOTS certified, if the fabric supplier is too small to be certified themselves. Tawast uses GOTS certified organic cotton, where the cotton is grown in Benin Tanzania and India. The fabric is spun, weaved, dyed and washed France. The organic cotton fabric that isn't GOTS certified (the yarn is) is made by an artisan family in India. Tawast also uses 100% GOTS certified organic linen. The flax plant was grown in France, and the fabric was spun, knitted, and dyed in Germany.
To minimize waste, Mila makes small accessories and scrunchies from fabrics scraps. The items are shipped in plastic-free packaging.
Vegan: This brand is completely vegan.
Shop Like You Give a Damn is an online vegan & fair department store, started out of the frustration of vegan shopping. The founders of Shop Like You Give a Damn wanted to be able to shop easily, with a wide range of stylish clothing, shoes, bags and cosmetics, of which you know for sure that they are vegan. Still quite tricky, because often you only find out after ordering that there is a leather patch on the jeans, that some wool has been processed in a sweater, or that the glue in the shoes is not vegan (if you ever find out).
Fortunately, there is a wide range of vegan products that are also made fairly and sustainably. These products are only fragmented over the internet in small webshops. Shop Like You Give a Damn brings all these products together in an online department store, where they have researched for you why and in what way a product is sustainable and of course whether it is actually vegan. This makes vegan shopping fun and easy!
