Silk Appeal was founded in 2022 by Josta and Anja. The brand specializes in sustainable silk tops.

Eco-friendly: Silk Appeal follows the slow fashion principles: no trends, but basics made from durable materials that will last a long time. They use GOTS-certified organic silk, dead stock and silk from The Creative Artisans; an organization that purchases fabrics from artisans in rural India to give them access to broader economic opportunities.

Local & Fair production: The tops are made at Amsterdam-based atelier Alliance. The brand pays attention to fair prices. For example, The Creative Artisans pay a good price for the fabrics they purchase.

Good cause: Silk Appeal donates 5% of its profits to UNICEF to support its fight against child labour.
