Silk scarf indigo printed manually

Shiny silk scarf made of organic silk, hand printed with vegetable dyes including Madder, the fruits of the cherry plum and indigo.

The soft, natural tones of the vegetable paint give the scarf an understated, chic look. Combine it with a denim jacket or silk dress. Casual or chic, both are possible.

Everything about this scarf is handmade. Irregular color transitions or small splashes are unavoidable. They are visible from very close and on the whole form the charm of the scarf.

The scarf was designed by Antoinette Leune, a visual artist from Oosterbeek. Her often enlarged details of flowers and plants are recognizable by their strong lines and striking use of color. The design of this scarf is based on the seed pods of the Spring balsam.
